Alberto has 40 years of combined industry and academic experience as a systems engineer. During 25 years he held different managerial positions in four different companies. Alberto serves since January 2018 as Dean of the School of Architecture, Engineering and Design. He holds a MSc in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (Universidad Politecnica de Madrid), a MSc in Systems Engineering (Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University) and a PhD in Systems Engineering (Stevens Institute of Technology). He has published over 35 technical papers, written seven books in systems engineering and related disciplines, and co-authored two other books. He is a Certified Professional Logistician and is Certified in Production and Inventory Management. He is an elected member of the Academia de las Ciencias y las Artes Militares.
