Abstract

The modern economy is characterized by the increasing market globalization. Development of technologies provides broad opportunities for cooperation in different areas: both at level of individuals, and at level of the companies. Rise of global companies has caused change of requirements to employees. In such conditions abilities to communication become one of important components in the field of interpersonal skills and knowledge. Development of abilities is important not only in socializing, conferencing, exchanging of views, ideas, which means communication in broad sense, but also in various kinds of professional communication. It means studying world achievements in technologies and engineering, carrying out researches, exchanging of experience, without which any professional activity is impossible. Global companies top management set the tasks of personality formation and training of specialists with sufficient level of professionalism which competitiveness on a labor market is defined now not only by its high qualification in professional sphere, but also by readiness for solving professional problems in bilingual communication conditions, that can provide information interaction processes. Foreign language skills turn out to be a significant personal and professional characteristic of a specialist when a foreign language becomes the orientation tool in modern information space. It demands methodological change in lingvo-professional training of a specialist competitive in the global markets. Globalization process has led to universal use of English language in business sphere. Today many companies declare about "a corporate language», which is usually English. It concerns not only joint ventures which do businesses on the territory of Russia, but it also concerns Russian enterprises working in the global markets. Communicating with business partners, we hear verbal information. Differences in intonation and melody of languages can lead to misunderstanding of a situation. At a grammar level communication problems can occur due to lack of some grammatical categories in a native language. As different languages have different word meanings and combinations, the incorrect use can entail the semantic error which can lead to inadequate perception of speaker’s intentions. Therefore intercultural communications can be important for this problem solution. Communicating with foreign partners in a foreign language, each of us bears a national mentality and the own vision. But simultaneously we face other logic of attitude, thinking habits, expressed in mentality of other ethnoculture bearer. Within the framework of professional communication a speech activity is carried out in a wide social context which defines a true meaning of the statement. Differences in language behavior and mentality can lead to semantic barriers during communication. Training of engineers becomes topical now. The world initiative ideology CDIO means not only giving students deep theoretical and practical knowledge in their professional sphere, but also ability working in a team. It is emphasized in general CDIO plan, as ability to communication, as well as a foreign one. Advanced training for foreign language teachers is also very important because they should be competent in the sphere of their professional work and must be familiar with a professional terminology. Training is carried out in close interaction with partner companies.
