Biography
I have been an educator for over two decades and became involved in project-based learning in 2015. This was through conducting a two-semester capstone project in mechanical engineering that uses the CDIO approach. Since then I have continued to conduct this module.
In 2022, I was fortunate to win the gold medal for Science of Learning in the QS-Wharton Reimagine Education Awards 2022 for my university. My entry was entitled "The IMPART Model: Imparting Transformation through Industry-Linked Multidisciplinary Projects". It was based on the way I conducted my capstone project module, supplemented with my own transformative learning research. I consider project-based learning as the ideal vehicle for transformative learning.
